Storybook Tour - Weeks 5 & 6 Highlights

Storybook Tour

ITNAmerica President and Founder Katherine Freund covered Arizona, New Mexico, a short break to see the Grand Canyon, California and Utah in weeks 4 and 5 of the Storybook Tour. She surpassed the 8,000-mile mark and is on her way Eastward in her journey back to Maine with several more story stops planned along the way. Here's a sampling of social media posts from weeks 4 and 5 of the tour:

Have you seen the latest videos we've posted to our YouTube channel? In Nashville we had the great pleasure of receiving a personal performance by Merry Agape, who also talked about life in Nashville as a legally blind person. We’ve also posted three interviews from our Story Stop in Orlando, with Executive Director Kimber Threet Saint-Preux, Member Rider Ruth Combs, and Volunteer Driver John McCallister.

Rides in Sight LogoDid you see the Savvy Senior column citing Rides in Sight as a valuable resource to help you choose the best place to settle down for your retirement? ITNAmerica also operates Rides in Sight, through the generous support of Regeneron Pharmaceuticals. The Rides in Sight toll-free hotline (855-607-4337) is available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST Monday through Friday and www.ridesinsight.org is searchable 24/7, connecting you with information about nearly 15,000 transportation providers all over the country.

SUPPORT THE TOUR!

Are you inspired by this tour and Katherine's determination to drive 12,000 miles in the name of creating more transportation solutions for America's aging and visually impaired people? We need your support! ITNAmerica is a nonprofit organization, which means Katherine is staying on couches and in the cheapest hotels and AirBnB accommodations possible to keep costs down for this trip. Every donation helps. To make a donation, please visit our Crowdrise site here.

Katherine will be on the road with the Storybook Tour until Aug 14. Follow along at StorybookTour.org, Twitter, Facebook or YouTube to get the latest updates as they become available. Many more videos are in production and being posted to YouTube regularly.
